In anticipation of a Section 18 approval for Priaxor® Xemium, outreach opportunities have been prepared for producers. During this webinar, HDOA staff will explain about Safe Pesticide Use (worker protection standard) and Drift Reduction for coffee leaf rust (CLR) management and answer any questions. This event is free, co-hosted by the HDOA and University of Hawaii CTAHR, and open to all. We encourage you to join us.
Priaxor® Xemium brand fungicide is a translaminar (localized leaf systemic) fungicide that is being sought by the Hawaii Coffee Growers Association for approval of use on coffee in Hawaii under a Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) Section 18 Emergency Exemption. If approved and used properly, Priaxor has the ability to protect coffee plant leaves by preventing CLR spore germination, unlike currently approved contact fungicides that only kill CLR spores on the outside of the leaf. Contact Andrea at [email protected] about CEU credits. Have your certified applicator's card number available. If you would like to attend this webinar from the Kona Cooperative Extension Service, please contact Matt at 808-322-0164 or [email protected]. Zoom Details
