A Coffee Grower Beauveria & Pesticide Workshop

The Hawaii Department of Agriculture (HDOA) and UH CTAHR welcome you to join us for presentations and Q&A regarding the use of Mycotrol and BotaniGard, Worker Protection Standards, and HDOA’s pesticide (Beauveria) voucher program.
Certified applicators will receive 2 CEU’s for attending this class. Please bring your pesticide card. Many farms regardless of organic or conventional farming methods, use pesticides if using a product to kill a beetle, bug, fungus, mite, rat, or weed. Learn how to keep yourself, your workers, customers and environment safe from improper use, storage, handling, application and disposal of pesticides. This workshop is open to all employers, owners, managers, and agricultural employees on farms, forests, nurseries, and greenhouses, although there will be an emphasis on the application of pesticides on coffee. The class will cover the current WPS provisions and requirements as well as any new rule changes. In addition, a video presentation on the pesticide safety training for agricultural workers and pesticide handlers will be provided. PESTICIDE TOPICS:
