Little Fire Ant Webinar (+3 CEUs) with the Hawaii Ant Lab

Tuesday, May 19, 2020
9:00 am - 12:00 am
Receive 3 CEUs towards your restricted use pesticide license for participating in this webinar.
A Zoom link will be sent to registered participants prior to the event.

This 3 hour webinar will cover little fire ant biology, survey and data collection, pesticide safety, and integrated pest management for commercial coffee and orchard crop farmers. This course also qualifies for 3 RUP CEUs!

Little Fire Ants (Wasmannia auropunctata) or LFA, are vicious little ants with a sting that can leave you in pain. They can be found in the home, in nearly any crack or crevice, or on the farm, in trees where they have been known to “rain down” on people causing serious welts and long lasting discomfort. If not controlled, LFA can become a major agricultural pest. They can infest fields, where they can damage crops and sting workers.

Questions? Contact Heather Forester of the Hawaii Ant Lab at (808) 315-5656 or heather.forester@littlefireants.com.
