Frost Damage

Unless growing coffee trees in high elevations where frost can occur, this type of damage is uncommon in Hawaii. 

However, in locations such as California, Brazil and other countries, where frost is possible, leaf necrosis and drop can take place. Dieback of young, succulent growth can also occur.
