UH‐CTAHR’s Cooperative Extension and the County of Hawaii welcomes you to two hands‐on coffee grafting workshops. These workshops are a response to grower requests as well as a project objective of a County‐ funded grant proposal, titled "the long‐term responses of coffee rootstocks to root‐knot nematode in Kona".
The goal of this workshop is teach growers about the importance of grafted trees and how to graft coffee trees.
During this hands‐on workshop, participants will learn about the coffee root‐knot nematode project and the basics of coffee grafting. Then, they will watch a demonstration of coffee grafting by Mr. Kraig Lee, and following, will practice their learned skills with coffee rootstocks and scions provided.
Speakers include: Dr. Roxana Myers of USDA; Dr. Alyssa Cho, Dr. Stuart T. Nakamoto and Andrea Kawabata of CTAHR; and Kraig Lee of Kona Farm Direct
Registration is required for each attendee.
Each class is limited to 15 participants.
$20 registration fee per attendee
